Online Conference on Interdisciplinary Gender Studies: Issues, Facts and Approaches 11-12 March 2021, organized by Altınbaş University TOKAMER, aims to present an interdisciplinary platform for researchers, academics, practitioners, students and educators to explore issues related to various aspects of gender studies from a broader perspective.
All aspects of human lives and relations are influenced by gender since it is socially constructed and thus inherently political. An interdisciplinary agenda enables an overarching and all-encompassing understanding of gender from both theoretical and empirical perspectives. Rather than separately focusing on selected aspects and disciplines in a compartmentalized manner, the conference therefore seeks to bring together different aspects and disciplines, with the aim of not only discussing the issues and facts from multiple angles, but also creating new ones that could open new paths for further research and academic discussions as well as advocacy work. For this aim theoretical, empirical, conceptual, experimental, descriptive, and constructive papers are invited to demonstrate the past, present and future of gender and gender studies.
Suggested topics include, but not limited to;
gender and politics
gender and history
gender and human rights
gender and business
gender and health
gender and anthropology
gender and religion
gender and culture
gender and migration/displacement
gender and literature
